Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, in reaction to the incident, has said that it is an incident like communal riots and it has been carried out by outsiders.
West Bengal CM said that BJP is behind this incident. They have called outsiders and are disturbing the peace in the state. He alleged that no one stopped the Ram Navami rally, but no one has the right to take out a rally with swords and bulldozers. How did this happen in Howrah? The rally suddenly changed its route and a community was attacked.
The matter will be investigated and no innocent will be arrested. But those who have attacked, perhaps feel that they will get relief. They should know that the public rejects those who do this, Mamata said.
