Kerala Train Fire Incident: A joint team of Central Intelligence and Maharashtra ATS nabbed the suspects in the Kozhikode train fire incident in Kerala. The accused, Shahrukh Saifi, is being handed over to the Kerala Police, according to the Maharashtra Police. According to reports, the offender was apprehended in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.
In response to the Kozhikode train fire, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav stated, “I appreciate the Maharashtra government, their police, and the RPF and NIA who caught him so soon.”

Central Intelligence and Maharashtra ATS collaborated on this operation
On Wednesday, a joint team of Central Intelligence and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra raided Ratnagiri and detained the culprit.
According to a Maharashtra ATS official, a team of Kerala Police has also arrived in Ratnagiri and the accused will be handed over to them soon. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had earlier on Tuesday inspected the coaches of the Alappuzha-Kannur executive train, which had been detained at Kannur railway station.

What exactly is the Kerala train fire case?
During an incident in a moving train near Alathur in Kozhikode, Kerala, on April 3, a passenger and his co-passenger set fire to his family. The tragedy killed three people, including a child, and injured eight others. The incident occurred at 10 p.m. on Sunday night in the D1 coach of the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train.

According to a tweet from the news agency ANI on Sunday morning, the bodies of three persons, including a kid, were discovered on the railway track 100 meters from the scene of the accident. The three deceased were all members of the same family. Others may have jumped from the train after the fire, according to preliminary accounts. The cops had begun their investigation.
