New Delhi: Fearing his wife, a man in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta went missing for over a year who alleged that the wife used to beat him up too. The cops have found the 34-year-old man and recovered him.
Naushad went missing in November 2021
According to the police, Naushad, a resident of Kalanjoor area of Pathanamthitta district, went missing from his rented house in November 2021. Thereafter, he was living as a laborer in a farm in Thommankuthu. Speaking to reporters in Thodupuzha, Naushad said he left home as he was scared of his wife.
Meanwhile, Afsana was arrested on Thursday for misleading the police through her statements. The accused had earlier given a statement to the police that she had killed Naushad and buried his body. Police had taken Afsana to some places to recover her body but the body or the skeleton was not recovered.
As per the new information, Naushad’s missing report was lodged by his father. He had seen Naushad at Koodal railway station two days ago, which he informed the police.
