Karnataka: Ahead of the Karnataka Polls elections, the KGF police seized Rs 4 crore in cash from a villa in Karnataka’s Kolar’s Zion Hills and gunny bags in a car that belonged to a realtor on May 10.
More cash was discovered while searching the Bangarpet villa. A man known as Ramesh Yadav rented the villa two years ago. However, nobody was inside the villa at the time of the raid.
Police said, “Unaccounted cash of ₹4,04,94,500 seized from a house and a car in Zion Hills by KGF Police under the direct supervision of SP Dr Dharani Devi.”

They added, “It is believed that the money was kept allegedly to distribute among the voters.”
According to the media, The police force was accompanied by a team of election observers. The funds were intended to be dispersed among voters in preparation for the next elections.
Further investigation is underway.
