Jammu and Kashmir: Due to the severe weather, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Monday (November 7) ordered the closure of elementary and middle schools in the Ramban and Kishtwar districts, according to officials. Cold weather has been brought on by snowfall in the higher elevations and heavy showers in the lower regions.

They added that kids are encouraged to stay inside due to the heavy rains, adding that all primary and middle schools in the Ramban area will remain closed.

In the same vein, the district administration of the Kishtwar district has ordered that all elementary and middle schools remain closed owing to inclement weather. However, they stressed, all of the district’s high schools and higher secondary institutions will run normally.
