Ranchi: Subhash Munda, a prominent leader from the Daladali area of Ranchi, Jharkhand of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was shot dead by unidentified attackers. According to Naushad Alam, the Superintendent of Police, Ranchi Rural, Subhash Munda was shot dead while he was inside his office. The assailants, riding on bikes, carried out the attack and fled the scene. The police have arrived at the location and are investigating the incident.
Kishor Kaushal, senior superintendent of police (SSP), Ranchi said, “Two persons allegedly entered his office and shot him. He succumbed to his injuries. We have formed an SIT to probe the matter. We have some technical evidence like CCTV footage. We will crack the case soon.”
Following the incident, there was a significant deployment of police personnel in the area to maintain law and order. The situation escalated with protests, leading to blockades on the ring road. However, after midnight, the authorities managed to disperse the protesters and clear the road. Subhash Munda’s body was then taken for autopsy to further investigate the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
