New Delhi: Rajasthan’s Kota is infamous as every year a horrific number of suicides is reported from there. IIT aspirants flock to Kota seeking better coaching and chances to get the best engineering colleges but many students take the extreme step due to study pressure.
In similar incident, a young boy belonging to Uttar Pradesh died by suicide after he hanged himself in the hostel room. As per the news, the incident took place shortly after the victim’s father left him.
The father came to meet his son from his hometown to convince him to focus on studies. He asked his son to concerntrate on his future As soon as he left, the unfortunate incident took place.
The father returned to his son as he was halfway to UP. The incident took place in Mahavir Nagar situated in Jawahar Nagar police station area of Kota district.
Manish Prajapat (17) was a resident of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh came Kota merely 6 months ago to prepare for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). A few days back, Manish came to know that he got lesser marks in the test at coaching that put him in worrisome.
His father said that he called my son while the father was going back home but he did not pick up. So he dialed a call to caretaker of the hostel. After which, the caretaker went down to his room but the room was locked from inside. He resorted to break down the door after Manish did not open it after a while.
Upon entering the room, caretaker found Manish hanging. The father said he had no idea that his son was going through so much. The police conducted the post-mortem of Manish’s body and handed it over to his father. The father left for UP with the dead body of his son.
