New Delhi: In Kannauj, a woman seeking justice for her daughter who was raped by the outpost in-charge at her official residence. In view of the seriousness of the matter, the SP ordered the arrest of the accused immediately. It is being told that accused Anoop Maurya was recently promoted to the post of inspector.

Police personnel raped her

A heinous case has emerged from the Kannauj district, where a police personnel has stained the name of his department. The woman came to seek justice for the rape of her daughter who was raped by the outpost in charge at her official residence.

The victim told the SP in her complaint that the outpost in-charge called her to his official residence on the pretext of investigation where she was raped. Taking the matter seriously, the SP has lodged a report on the outpost in-charge and sent him to jail. It is being told that accused Anoop Maurya was recently promoted to the post of Inspector.

Woman had an affair

According to the information, the daughter of the victim woman had a love affair with a young man and both ran away from the house. The woman went to the police station with a complaint about this matter. Along with this, she had also given an application to the SP on 26 August for action against the accused.

Anoop Kumar Maurya, the outpost in-charge of Haji Sharif, present in the Kannauj Sadar Kotwali area, was investigating this matter. The woman was in regular touch with the outpost in-charge regarding her daughter’s case.

Case handed over to CO

The victim alleges that in connection with the investigation, outpost in-charge Anoop Maurya called the woman to his official residence and forcibly raped her. After this, the victim lodged a case in the police station. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the SP handed over the investigation of the case to Shiv Pratap Singh, CO City. The CO found evidence of rape in the investigation. After this, Inspector Anoop Maurya was sent to jail after registering a report on Monday.
