Indore: A 19-year-old boy kidnapped and raped a 12-year-old minor who was later stripped naked and exhibited by a family member of the survivor in the Kanadia region of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Children were instructed to whip the naked youth while women surrounded him and cursed him.
Kanadia police station in-charge Jagdeesh Jamre said, “The youth, Ritik, took the minor along with him by misleading her. They were found by the family members at Indore Bypassand brought back to the Bhuri Tekri area of Kanadia where he was punished. They paraded him naked and thrashed him.”
He added, “A case of rape and abduction under relevant sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered against Ritik and both the girl and the youth have been sent for medical examination.”
Jamre stated that they were in the process of documenting the youth’s statements, after which a complaint would be filed against the family members of the underage girl who had thrashed and paraded him.
