New Delhi: A sad news has emerged from the Galwan Valley in Ladakh. Here a 22-year-old army soldier, Sudhanshu Kumar was martyred as an impact of a boiler explosion.
The martyr was the only child of Rajesh Choudhary and Sangeeta Devi. They are a resident of Sakhara village of Rajoun block. According to the martyr’s grandfather Anant Choudhary, he received a call on August 21 regarding Sudhanshu’s accident.
On receiving the information, Brajesh Chaudhary, uncle of the martyr, along with his father and mother left for Chandigarh to see his son.
Sudhanshu fought for his life for a week
In view of Sudhanshu’s critical condition, the army personnel hurriedly got him admitted to PGI Chandigarh for better treatment. He received first aid at Leh hospital. The soldier was battling for his life for almost a week. But late on Tuesday night, Sudhanshu lost his battle for life.
Sudhanshu was inducted in the Indian Army in the year 2020. As soon as the news of his accident reached his home, sadness in the air grasped the entire village.
Family is grieving
There was mournful silence in the surrounding areas including the family. Other family members including the grandfather of the martyr soldier are in a bad condition. A large number of people, including the villagers are reaching the martyr’s house to console the family members. The martyred soldier has a younger sister, Monika Kumari, who was recently married.
