New Delhi: The female staff of Fatehpur Beri police station located in South district has made serious allegations against the Chittha Munshi (police officer engaged in the duty of staff in the police station) of their own police station.
Police officer pressurized for physical relations
The female staff alleges that against imposing the desired duty, the officer of the police station pressurizes them to have physical relations. Apart from denying their leave to harass the female staff failing to do so, they are subjected to mistreatment.
Not only this, the accused is also doing his favorite duty by taking cash and gifts. The women police personnel of the police station have unitedly given a written complaint to the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Special Commissioner of Vigilance. Taking the matter seriously, an inquiry has been ordered.
Departmental enquiry has been ordered
District Deputy Commissioner of Police Chandan Chaudhary has confirmed the matter and talked of departmental inquiry. In the complaint given to the Delhi Police Commissioner, the female staff has alleged that the letter scribe posted in the police station is a constable.
He has been a book scribe for a long time by winning the trust of the officers. Apart from talking dirty to the female staff, the accused pressurizes them to have physical relations. He openly says that if his words are not obeyed then neither will he get leave and duty will also be imposed in such a place that he will miss.
Demanded cash and gift from female staff
He demands cash and gifts from some female staff. A complaint was made in this regard to the senior officers also. The accused always influenced the investigation of the case by his influence. Never let the test go right. He openly says that women are not going to run in the police department. Police is male dominated.
Misbehaved after drinking alcohol
Chittha Munshi is also accused of misbehaving with the female staff by drinking alcohol. A senior Delhi Police official said that former Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana had issued an order saying that the Chittha Munshi would not be in any police station for more than six months.
Apart from this, only an officer of the rank of ASI or above will be posted as Chitta Munshi. This order was being openly violated at the Fatehpur Beri police station here. According to police sources, apart from the Deputy Commissioner of Vigilance, the complaint given on September 19 is also being investigated by the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
