Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police on Saturday carried out a raid at a pub in the posh Banjara Hills area of the city, ANI reported. 40 women were among 140 people who were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in illegal activities.
After the raid, the premises of the TOS Pub was sealed and cases were registered against 20 individuals including 10 women, police said on Saturday.
“Last night, we conducted a raid on Road No. 3 and took 100 men and 40 women into custody for engaging in illegal activities at a pub. We have seized the pub,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Venkat Ramana, told ANI.

Ramana said that cases have been registered under various sections, including: Section 420: for dishonestly inducing delivery of property; for violating noise regulations; Section 290: for public nuisance; and Section 294: for obscene acts and songs.
“The cases have been registered against the pub owners, bouncers, DJ operators, and a total of 20 individuals including 10 women,” he added.
