Social tensions escalated in the Tappachabutra area on Wednesday when pieces of meat were found inside the temple premises but the matter cooled down as the CCTV footage revealed a cat entered the temple with meat in its mouth thus ending false suspicion about communal hate activities.
The incident took place in the Lord Shiva Temple at the Hanuman Temple premises where devotees found a piece of meat inside the temple shrine which led local residents and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members to protest.

Police responded quickly to the matter and obtained information by proceeding to the temple for investigation. Official senior representatives examined the site after which police found approx 250 grams of mutton.
Four teams were formed immediately to analyze CCTV footage from the neighboring area. The footage revealed that a cat walked into the temple carrying a piece of meat inside its mouth and left the piece behind the Shiv Lingam.

The temple committee members earlier informed a local news channel that someone discarded the meat inside the temple premises. After the police investigations it has been confirmed that nobody was responsible for the suspicious behavior and the police have urged citizens to stop circulating unverified information about the incident.
