Hyderabad: Couple Strangles Two Children To Death Before Hanging Themselves; Suicide Note Reveals…

Police found a suicide note at the scene, which revealed that the family allegedly died due to financial and health-related issues. It was purportedly penned by the man.

Hyderabad: A disturbing incident has emerged from Hyderabad's Habsiguda, where a couple reportedly died by suicide after strangling their two children to death. The incident occurred on Monday night around 9.30 pm at their residence. The deceased man and his wife were found hanging in two separate rooms while their minor children were lying dead on the bed, Police said.

Police found a suicide note at the scene, which revealed that the family allegedly died due to financial and health-related issues. It was purportedly penned by the man. Following the incident, the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination. An investigation into the matter has been launched, and the police have filed a case of suspicious deaths.

Reports stated that the family originally hailed from Mukuralla village in the Mahabubnagar district. They later moved to Habsuguda and have been living there for the past year. The man, who was a lecturer in a college, had been unemployed for the last 6 months. The police suspected that the reason for their death might be prolonged joblessness.

“The incident happened at around 9:30 pm at their residence at Ravindranagar Colony in the Habsiguda area. We rushed to the spot after getting a call from neighbours and began an investigation. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the couple had first strangled their children to death before hanging themselves,” HT quoted Osmania University police station inspector N. Rajender as saying.

In the note, the man wrote, “No one is responsible for my death. I had no other option left but to take my life. Please forgive me. I have been struggling in my career and suffering physically and mentally. I have been battling diabetes, nerve-related issues, and kidney diseases,” he wrote in the note, which was originally written in Telugu.
