Telangana: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 struck Mulugu in Telangana at 7.27 am today, the National Center for Seismology reported. Tremors were reportedly felt in Hyderabad as the quake struck the district causing panic among residents.

“EQ of M: 5.3, On 04/12/2024 07:27:02 IST, Lat: 18.44 N, Long: 80.24 E, Depth: 40 Km, Location: Mulugu, Telangana,” the National Center for Seismology said in an X post.

2.9 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Assam’s Karbi Anglong

An earthquake of magnitude 2.9 hit Karbi Anglong in Assam on the intervening night of November 30.

According to the NCS, the tremor was reported early morning around 2.40 am. It stayed centered in the Karbi Anglong region at a depth of 25 km.
