An incident of cyber crime has been reported from Hyderabad where a woman was swindled off Rs 4.72 Lakh when she was trying to secure a part time job.
According to the cyber crime police, the woman had received a message with link for a part time job. She was added to a group when she clicked the link. In that group, she was promised a heavy returns on investment by the fraudsters.
Sceptical about the offer, the victim invested a small amount initially and received instant profit. The initial profit prompted her to invest again, and she invested Rs 4.72 lakh in several instalments. And when she was unable to retrieve her profits, she reported it to the police.
