Hyderabad: A case of a three-year-old girl sleeping in the parking lot of an apartment in Hayathnagar, Hyderabad, has come to light. The incident has been captured on the CCTV camera installed in the parking lot. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and got involved in the investigation.
The Hayatnagar police inspector said that they received a complaint regarding the incident at 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said that the complainant, 22-year-old Kavitha, is a resident of Gulbarga in Karnataka. Kavita told the police that she had come to Hyderabad with her children in search of a livelihood.
She said that at around 8 a.m., she had arrived at Lecturer’s Colony in Hayatnagar to work in an under-construction building. At around 2:30 pm, he had dinner with his children, 6-year-old son Basava Raju and 3-year-old daughter Lakshmi.
The mother of the deceased girl told Kavita that it was very hot while eating food, and her daughter Lakshmi could not tolerate the heat, so Kavita made her sleep in the parking lot of the basement of the nearby Balaji Arcade apartment. Kavita told the police that an SUV ran over her daughter Lakshmi while parking around 3 p.m., killing the 3-year-old on the spot. Police said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
