While talking to mediapersons, Ballia's Superintendent of Police (SP) Raj Karan Nayyar was asked if the house of the accused had been bulldozed. However, he did not give any satisfying reply, but managed to say that the necessary action had been taken.
The police nabbed the culprit, who had also tried to escape custody but failed. The accused also got injured during an encounter with the police while trying to run away.

As per Ballia's Superintendent of Police (SP) Raj Karan Nayyar, the girl was found injured with her wrist cut. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
The Ballia police have also informed us that there was no evidence of rape and sexual assault on the victim's body in the prima facie investigation. However, the relevant sections have been charged with the matter.
