Kanpur: Girl students living in a private hostel here alleged that the hostel staff has made obscene videos of them while taking bath. On Thursday, a student allegedly saw the accused secretly making the video. Police have taken one accused into custody.
According to the information, girls preparing for medical examinations live in a private hostel in Kanpur’s Tulsi Nagar area. It is alleged that an employee working here used to make obscene videos of girl students while taking a bath.
According to the complaint, the accused made several obscene videos of girl students in the hostel from his mobile phone.
On Thursday, a student caught the accused of secretly making videos and snatched his phone. The girl apparently viewed numerous such videos and went to the nearest police station to file a complaint.
According to reports, the hostel is operated by a police officer who is assigned as Additional SP in one of Uttar Pradesh’s districts.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police arrested an employee of the hostel.
“We received a complaint from students and a case has been registered.Further investigation is underway”, said ACP Kalyanpur Dinesh Shukla.
