Haridwar: We’re not sure whether to call it an honour killing or a horror killing. One such fascinating incident occurred in Haridwar’s Laksar. Here, a father murdered his real minor daughter with the assistance of his son. Furthermore, after the murder, the body was placed in a plastic bag and dumped into the Ganges River. Since the incident, the accused father and son have been absconding.
The minor girl, according to the information received, was having an affair with a boy from the same village. The family was outraged when they found out. When the minor girl refused to agree after being persuaded several times by the father and son, they killed her.
When the minor girl did not appear in the village for several days, her lover Sonu son Karma Singh, a resident of Laksar’s Rampur Raighati village, filed a missing person’s report in Kotwali on August 9.
The youth disclosed to the cops that he was having an affair with the girl. He went on to say that his girlfriend was still a minor and that they had planned to marry when she reached adulthood, but she had gone missing for several days.
He suspected his girlfriend’s family members were to blame for her disappearance. The police were investigating on his Tahrir after registering a case of kidnapping.
During the investigation, police discovered that the teenager’s father, Madan Pal, and brother, Ravi, had picked up the heavy plastic sacks and carried them towards the Ganges river at night.
The police attempted to obtain information from the teenager’s father and brother, but both escaped. On suspicion, the police have been searching for the said plastic sack in the Ganga with the assistance of the SDRF since then.
The police finally found the sack last night. When it was opened, the girl’s body was discovered inside her.
According to SSI Ankur Sharma of Laksar Kotwali, the body was handed over to his uncle after a post-mortem examination. The kidnapping case has been turned into a murder investigation, and the girl’s father and brother have been identified. Both are being sought.
