DC Nishant Kumar Yadav said that keeping in view the interests of the farmers, the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana and Horticulture Insurance Scheme launched by Chief Minister Manohar Lal is an unprecedented scheme for the horticulture farmers. This scheme is proving effective in making the farmers risk-free from the price of vegetables and fruits and getting them a fair price for the crop.

District Horticulture Officer Dr Neha Yadav said that under this scheme, crops like potato, cauliflower, carrot, peas, tomato, onion, capsicum, brinjal, okra, chilli, bitter gourd, cabbage, radish, Kinnow, guava, Chiku, peach, plum, mango, pear, litchi, amla, jujube, garlic, turmeric, etc. have been listed. He said that the protected price of all the above crops has already been fixed by the government. Under this scheme, the farmers will be compensated by the state government for the loss due to selling less than the protected prices set by the government. Producer farmers can also get insurance on the above crops under the Mukhyamantri Horticulture Insurance Scheme to compensate for the losses before production.
