Gurugram: A 34-year-old man from Gurugram killed his wife and chopped her body into pieces. A man got arrested on Thursday at his residence in Manesar village.
The woman’s torso was half burned and was found on April 21 in a village in Manesar in one of the two rooms built on a farm leased by Kukdola village resident Umed Singh. Police said she was murdered somewhere else, and her head was missing and her hands chopped off.
According to a senior police officer the accused was identified as Jitender a resident of Gandhi Nagar and was living on rent in the Manesar area.
The complaint was filed by the owner of the farmhouse Umed Singh who leased his eight acres of land located on a road leading from Pachgaon Chowk to Kasan village. He stated in his complaint, “My neighbour called me and told me he saw some smoke coming out of one of the rooms on my farm. When I went to the farm, I found a half-burnt torso in the room and I informed the police.”
The torso belonged to a 30-year-old woman, according to police. They discovered the woman’s severed hands on Sunday and her skull on Wednesday evening in the Kherki Daula neighbourhood. On the basis of Umed Singh’s complaint, an FIR was filed at Manesar Police Station under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (hiding evidence) of the IPC. According to a police source, the accused admitted to killing his wife.
