New Delhi: Ahead of Gujarat Assembly polls, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday released the second list of candidates. The party had already announced the first list of 10 candidates on August 2.

The Gujarat Assembly polls will be conducted for as many as 182 seats. Meanwhile, the AAP has announced 19 candidates along with the constituencies they will fight on. The Assembly elections are likely to be held in December this year.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has been frequently visiting the state and rolled out a host of post-poll promises. He has ensured the Gujarat youth of employment under Kejriwal Ni Rojgar Guarantee and free electricity or such.

However, Kejriwal also courted controversy over his promises of providing electricity and education for free as several political leaders started calling it “freebies” or “Revadi”.

To which, the Delhi reacted by saying that, “Providing free education and healthcare is not a freebie, it’s duty of government. Waiving off Rs 10 lakh cr worth of loans is a freebie.”
