Ahmedabad: Following in the footsteps of Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat is now asking, “Who should be the chief minister candidate?” ahead of state Assembly elections.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) conducted a poll in Punjab, where state elections were held earlier this year, and Bhagwant Mann emerged as the most popular candidate. Mann was appointed chief minister after the party won with a massive mandate.
Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, asked at a press conference on Saturday morning, “Who should be the next Gujarat chief minister?” Please express your thoughts.”
He lashed out at the ruling party in Gujarat, saying: “The BJP has no strategy for the next five years. Inflation is a major problem throughout the country, including Gujarat. They did not consult the people when they replaced Vijay Rupani with Bhupendra Patel a year ago. That is not something we do. The AAP wants the public to see it. We now have indications that the AAP will take power in this country.”
Kejriwal also announced a phone number for people to call in their opinions: 6357000360. People can send voice messages, WhatsApp messages, and SMS messages to this number until November 3.
On November 4, the results would be announced. He has also provided an email address to which comments can be sent.
The Aam Aadmi Party is running aggressively in the Gujarat Assembly elections, with candidates running for all seats.
