Greater Noida: The taste of drinking water has changed after the supply of Gangajal started in Greater Noida. Now sweet water has started reaching the houses, and before the supply of Gangajal in Knowledge Park-1, Knowledge Park-2, and Knowledge Park-3, the TDS used to be around 1,200, but since the supply of drinking water mixed with Gangajal has started, it has come down to 300.
Water was being supplied by mixing chlorine, but CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Gangajal project. After this, the water department of the authority started supplying Gangajal in the city, and since then, the taste of the water has changed.
At present, Gangajal is being supplied in 36 sectors of the city. Gangajal has also reached D Park in the Greater Noida West area. In the next two months, the officers of the water department are working on a plan to start door-to-door Gangajal supply in the entire Greater Noida West area. Along with this, concrete is being given to the plan to supply Gangajal in the villages as well.
Officials of the Water Department say that those villages have been selected for the supply of Gangajal because the underground water is dirty and not fit for drinking. A plan to start the supply of Gangajal in Sadopur and Achheja.
