Greater Noida: As the G-20 conference is going to be held in September, Greater Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari has given instructions to start the work of LED strip lighting within a week. Instructions have been given to start the work after getting the design approved to decorate the roads and roundabouts of Greater Noida with greenery.
CEO Ritu Maheshwari, while reviewing the work done by the Authority’s Electrical Engineering and Horticulture Department, said that for the first time, Greater Noida has had the opportunity to organise a global conference like the G-20. There should be no shortage in its preparations. The authority plans to install designer lighting on a large scale to brighten up Greater Noida and make the roads greener.
The waterfall will be lit on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Three coloured LED strips will be installed on the poles along all the major roads in Greater Noida. Designers associated with the G-20 conference will also be employed. Gave instructions to run fountains continuously in Greater Noida. The CEO instructed the Electrical Engineering Department to start work on the spot within a week for the work whose tender process has been completed. Re-tender the works whose tenders have not been finalised and start the work by selecting the company.
Instructed to develop flower beds along the roads, finalise the design for decorating roundabouts, and start work on the spot. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of work, the CEO reprimanded the concerned officials and gave instructions to finish all the work related to the G-20 conference within three months. Also warned of action for negligence. All senior officers, including ACEO Anand Vardhan and OSD Himanshu Verma, were present during the review meeting.
