Haryana: A statement by Haryana Women’s Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia created controversy. Bhatia said for the incidents of physical abuse in the name of love, “Girls do not go to perform Hanuman Ji’s aarti in the Oyo Room; before going to such places, keep in mind that wrong may happen to you there.”

Renu Bhatia had reached RKSD College in Kaithal to participate in the legal and cybercrime awareness program. During this, while addressing the program, she said that, till now, most of the cases that have come to her involve people who are in relationships. In such cases, they cannot interfere much; rather, efforts are made to solve them. In such cases, there is a danger of spoiling the family. Two families break up. Because we live under relationship law, the number of crimes is also increasing.

She explains that if a girl is going to such a place, she is not going to perform Hanuman Ji’s aarti. Something wrong can happen with them in friendship; it is a matter of thinking. She said that when girls are so mature in everything else that they know what they need from their parents to go to college and what happens in college, then why not in this case? Bhatia further said that as soon as they come to the college, boys and girls do not know what they get or which wings they get. Girls feel that now they can wear anything, no matter how modern their clothes are, and boys feel that as soon as they go to college, they will have a bike and a girlfriend.
