Ghaziabad: At least six people lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on NH-9 in Ghaziabad. According to reports, a car collided with a school bus coming from the opposite side. Following the notification of the accident, the police reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
Fortunately, there were no students aboard the school bus at the time of the accident. The car involved in the incident belonged to a family from Mawana in Meerut. Eight people were traveling in the car, including four children. Unfortunately, six individuals lost their lives, leaving behind two critically injured individuals.
Victims of the accident identified
The fatalities in the accident include the car passengers Narendra Yadav (45), Anita Yadav (42), Babita (38), Himanshu (12), Karakrit (15), and Vanshika (7). Dharmendra (42) and Aryan (8) suffered severe injuries and their condition is critical.
R.K. Kushwah, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), stated that the accident claimed the lives of six car occupants and left two severely injured. The bus driver was coming from the wrong direction, heading towards Ghazipur in Delhi, while the car (TUV) was traveling from Meerut. Following the accident, the school bus driver was apprehended. The individuals in the car were all members of the same family. Further action will be taken in this matter.
