New Delhi: In the latest development related to a man who allegedly assaulted a woman in Delhi’s Mangolpuri, the victim has released a self-recorded video in which she stated that “it was a misunderstanding”.

In the video, she said, “The incident that happened was because of a misunderstanding between me and my fiance… we had a fight over a personal reason, later we patched up. I want to thank Delhi Police for being available 24 hours for the safety of girls.”

The case pertains to a man who was seen beating and pushing a girl forcefully to sit inside a car near the Mangolpuri flyover in Delhi. The car and the driver were traced by the police.

The video which went viral on the internet shows the man grabbing the woman by her collar, beating her and forcefully making her sit inside the car. After making her sit inside he goes and sits on the driver’s side while another man comes and sits next to the woman.

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal issued a notice to the Delhi Police, stating that the commission will take strict action against these individuals.
