Rajkumar Mishra, Nalanda: During the Bihar Sharif Municipal Corporation elections, there was a brief firing and scuffle at the Chalant booth in the Baignabad neighbourhood, injuring around a half-dozen individuals.

After receiving information about the incident, a significant number of police officers, including the DM and SP of Nalanda, arrived on the scene and began investigating the entire situation.

A considerable number of police officers were stationed here to ensure that no further disruptions occur.

According to eyewitnesses, a large number of people were waiting in queue to vote when malicious individuals fired, causing panic.

The firing produced a stampede among the people, followed by a barricade in which around a half-dozen individuals were hurt.

DSP is now camped at the location. The information regarding the roadblock was obtained, according to Nalanda’s DM Shashank Subhankar, and when we arrived here, everything was quiet.
