New Delhi: A man shot his daughter dead and packed her body in a suitcase with the help of his wife and son in a shocking case of alleged honour killing in Delhi. The body of Aayushi Chaudhary, 22, was discovered on the Yamuna Expressway by Delhi Police on November 18.
According to the police, Aayushi’s father committed the murder in a house in Delhi’s Badarpur, where she was allegedly shot twice in the chest. Her body was later found on the side of the road at Yamuna expresway, stuffed in a red suitcase lined with plastic.
This case came into fore just a few days after the murder of Shraddha Walkar, in which a woman was murdered by her live-in partner and her body was chopped into 35 pieces and stored in a fridge.

Five shocking points in Aayushi chaudhary murder case
- Aayushi allegedly had an affair with a man from another caste named Chhatrapal. The couple married without the consent of Aayushi’s parents. Her father became enraged and shot her twice in the chest.
- Aayushi’s body had been in the Chaudhary house for over 12 hours after the murder when her parents decided how to dispose of it. Her father purchased plastic bags and a red suitcase in order to stuff her body, which was then dumped on the Yamuna Expressway.
- Aayushi’s body was found with blood on her face and multiple injuries, leading to speculation that she was beaten before being shot. She was killed with her father’s licenced gun.
- Ayushi family members had not filed the report of missing even after the two days of the murder. Aayushi’s mother and brother went to identify her body two days later, crying uncontrollably. They both are involved in the murder of Aayushi.
- An unidentified person called Delhi Police about a suitcase on the highway containing a dead body. The informer has not been traced yet, but it is assumed that he was a friend of Aayushi.
