New Delhi: In a recent development in a acid attack in Delhi's Dwarka, the Police has raised suspicion on another boy of being a prime accused, informed M Harshvardhan, Dwarka DCP.
"Today information was received at Dwarka's Mohan Garden Police Station that a 17-year-old girl has been attacked with an acid-like substance by 2 bike-borne boys. She is under treatment and is stated to be stable. She has received 8 per cent burn injuries. One boy has been detained and is being questioned," DCP Dwarka said. He added, "Another boy has emerged as a prime suspect during the investigation and multiple teams have been formed to nab the accused. Action is being taken on all leads." “Our younger daughter came running to the house and said that acid has been thrown at her sister. Both the boys had covered their faces, they are yet to be identified. It (acid) has entered both her eyes,” said the father.DCW intervenes
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has taken cognisance in the matter while also lashing out at the governments. She said, “Acid was thrown at a schoolgirl near Dwarka Mor. Our team is reaching the hospital to help the victim. Will get justice for the daughter. The Delhi Commission for Women has been fighting for years to ban acid in the country.
