Samastipur (Bihar): In Samastipur, a panchayat ordered a marriage of a couple who were caught in a same house on Monday. The man came to the village to meet his girlfriend when the family caught the two together. Upon seeing this, the family created a scene following which, the matter was taken to the Panchayat. Both had been meeting each other for several months. The case pertains to Dekari village, part of Jahangirpur panchayat, in the Khanpur police station area of Samastipur district.

 A video of the video was also surfaced on the internet. After the marriage, the man said the marriage was forced. He said, "it's my will whether to keep her or leave."

The boy has been identified as Shyam Kumar Mahto, the 25-year-old son of Ramesh Mahto, a resident of Dekari Ward 5 in Jahangirpur Panchayat. The girl is Anjali Kumari, the 19-year-old daughter of Ramdayal Paswan of the same village.

Both were married on the premises of the Dekari Radhe Krishna temple.

Hundreds of people, including Sarpanch representatives Umesh Prasad Mahato, Ajit Mahato, Lal Babu Thakur, Rajaram Paswan, Ram Vilas Paswan, and Rambaran Paswan, were present on this occasion.
