Disagreement with husband, poisoning of children
Baleshwar Yadav, a resident of Sait Dam in the Revatipur police station area of Ghazipur, recently got into a quarrel with his wife Sunita. In Delhi, Baleshwar has a private job. Sunita and Baleshwar are the parents of four children.
Sunita, Baleshwar’s wife, had gone to her maternal home a week ago due to a disagreement with her brother-in-law. Here, she got into an argument with her husband over the phone, and the two exchanged a lot of words.
Sunita then attempted to kill her three children, Himanshu, Piyush, and Supriya, by putting sulphas in tea.
Divyanshu, her fourth child, had gone to the farm with her maternal grandmother during this time. His life was saved as a result of this.
Sunita attempted suicide after poisoning the children, but changed her mind at the last minute.
Two children killed
The three children’s condition deteriorated dramatically after ingesting the poison. After that, all three were taken to the hospital, where two of the children died.
Simultaneously, daughter Supriya’s condition remains critical. She was referred to Varanasi.
Sunita was arrested after police registered a case against her. At the same time, the villagers harbour a lot of resentment toward Sunita.
