New Delhi: Ramlilas, traditionally known for their clear weather, have faced disruptions in recent years due to unseasonal October rains. This year appears to be no exception. While the Meteorological Department predicts drizzle on October 15 and 16, Skymet anticipates rain from October 14 to 18. Despite these forecasts, Tuesday saw a high temperature of 36.1 degrees, two degrees above the norm.
Here’s what you can expect from Delhi’s weather
The minimum temperature measured 22.7 degrees, also two degrees above the normal range. Humidity levels remained between 45 and 86 per cent. The following day, Wednesday, is expected to bring clear skies with the possibility of light morning fog. Temperatures could reach a high of 36 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.
Skymet reports that day and night temperatures in Delhi have been above average for the past few days, with pleasant weather following the departure of the monsoon. In early October, the minimum temperature dropped to 18 degrees. While strong sunshine dominates the afternoon, the current Western Disturbance, which had a mild impact on the capital, resulted in occasional cloud cover and a slight rise in humidity.
Another Western Disturbance is set to become active from October 14, with expectations of greater influence than the current system. This active disturbance is expected to impact Delhi, as well as regions in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Rainfall is projected for Delhi from October 15 to 18, with the heaviest downpour anticipated between October 16 and 17. This round of rain could signify the beginning of a winter atmosphere in Delhi and North India.
