New Delhi: Not stopping a DTC bus for women standing on a road in Delhi has cost a driver a lot. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has suspended the driver after a complaint was made in the matter. Along with this, orders have also been given to investigate the matter.
According to information, the DTC driver did not stop the bus for women standing at a stop on Delhi’s Sikandra Road on Thursday. On this, the women complained about the matter to the Delhi government. The Kejriwal government took cognizance of this complaint. After this, the Transport Minister immediately held a meeting with the officials of DTC and DIMTS.

During the meeting, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot identified the driver and suspended him until further orders. Along with this, orders for a departmental inquiry have also been issued against him. He has said that the passenger, especially the female passenger, should not face any kind of problem.
The Transport Minister has said after a meeting with the officials that more than 200 traffic teams will be deployed in Delhi to monitor all the bus stops and bus terminals. Apart from this, teams will also be set up to check the drivers and conductors of DTC. These teams will especially look into the behaviour of drivers and conductors.
