Delhi to celebrate ‘Har Hath Tiranga’ on eve of 75th Independence Day at grand scale

New Delhi: The Delhi Government’s ambitious campaign “Har Hath Tiranga” has begun with great zeal, to celebrate 75 years of Independence. To give a momentum to the campaign, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia distributed the national flags among the students at Shaheed Captain Amit Verma SV Inderpuri, on Friday. On this occasion, Manish Sisodia interacted with the students, shared the significance of the national flag and details about the “Har Hath Tiranga” campaign. This campaign to immerse the capital in the spirit of patriotism was announced by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on June 4, this year.

As a part of this campaign, the government is distributing 25 lakh tricolors across the national capital. On August 14, all the people of Delhi will participate in a mega event to celebrate 75th Independence Day at 5pm, by holding flags in hand and singing the national anthem. They will also pledge to make India, the greatest and the strongest nation in the world.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “Over the past 75 years, since independence, India has come the long way and now it’s time for the country to be the global leader. This will happen only when the whole country will pledge to make it the greatest and the strongest nation in the world. In Delhi, “Har Hath Tiranga” campaign has been launched by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and 25 lakh tricolors are being distributed across the capital to mark this independence day. On August 14, each and every resident of Delhi will hold the tricolor in their hands and sing the national anthem together. They will also pledge to make the country No.1 in the coming years.” He added that to mark this independence day, the Delhi Government has been working since the beginning of this year. Along with the “Har Hath Tiranga” campaign, the government has installed 500 national flags across the capital of 115ft and 166ft height.

Explaining the significance of the national flag Manish Sisodia said, “The Indian National Flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people of India. We must work to keep its pride intact and ensure that no resident of this country is ever deprived of his/her rights of education, healthcare, dignified life, only then the country will prosper.” He added that the children are the future of the nation and all their dreams should be focused on making India the greatest and strongest in the world.

It is to be noted that to fulfill the purpose of the campaign Delhi government is holding a mega drive for distribution of national flags across the capital. As a part of this all the students in Delhi government schools will be given flags to participate in the “Har Hath Tiranga” campaign. Apart from this, on the eve of Independence Day, 100+ events will be organized across the capital to mark this day.
