New Delhi: Within 2 weeks, another bomb threat was sent via email to Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, on Thursday evening. The email address belongs to a school student who denied doing so; the investigation is still going on.
On the same day, police received the information related to mail in which the sender wrote, “I am going to blast the school at 11 am on May 12.”
Police, a bomb disposal squad, and a cybersecurity team arrived at the school and checked the computer system/email. The email was received by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rajesh Deo at 6:17 p.m. on Thursday.
Two bomb disposal teams, sniffer dogs, and local staff members inspected the area but found nothing untoward. More technical research is being conducted.
DPS Mathura Road got a threat e-mail in April, which was later shown to be a hoax. The role of a schoolboy in the incident was later traced by police, and he was let off following therapy. The child claimed he did it for fun.
