Delhi Pollution: The air quality in the national capital has dropped back to the ‘very poor’ category. The AQI was recorded at 310 on Wednesday at 6 am, according to the CPCB. This marks the first day of the week when the AQI has slipped into the ‘very poor’ category. The air quality had shown significant improvement in the past few days, reaching the moderate range and remaining in the ‘poor’ category thereafter. Favorable meteorological conditions were attributed for the improvement. However, lower wind speeds and a reduced ventilation index have resulted in the drop in AQI, as these factors are considered unfavorable for the dispersion of pollutants.
