New Delhi: On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the Delhi Police has granted permission to take out a Shobha Yatra at Jahangirpuri and other places.
Delhi police said, “The route has been created. To maintain law and order, permission has been given to take out the Shobha Yatra within a certain distance. A discussion was held with the organizing committee and an appeal has been made to conduct the yatra according to law and order.”
In the year 2022, there were violent confrontations between two populations on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Jahangirpuri, Delhi, after which the Delhi Police were not allowed to take out Shobha Yatra on Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti, although permission was eventually restored.

Preparations have been undertaken in Uttam Nagar and Burari for a procession from Chanakya Nagar and Bhalswa Dairy on behalf of Vishwa Hindu Parishad at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Following that, the worship programme would begin at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm from Rajasthani Ramlila Stage A Block and Jahangirpuri E Block of Mukherjee Nagar and Karol Bagh. At the same time, worship and offering distribution programme has been in place at the 108-foot-high Hanuman temple in Delhi’s old Jhandewalan since the morning. It will also be attended by Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi and other dignitaries.
