New Delhi: A day after Tillu Tajpuriya was killed by four gang members inside Tihar jail, Delhi police began conducting raids at more than 20 locations in the Delhi-National Capital Region on Wednesday.
M Harsha Vardhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), said the raids and searches were taking place in Delhi and Haryana. According to another official, police raided gangsters’ and their associates’ hideouts. Around 20 lakh dollars in cash and weapons have been seized, and some people have been detained.
According to authorities, the search is currently underway.
Tajpuriya, a suspect in the 2021 Rohini court gunfight that resulted in the death of mobster Jitender Gogi, was allegedly stabbed “92 times” with a homemade weapon in the early hours of Tuesday by four members of the Gogi gang.
