In a significant announcement for Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared a large-scale recruitment drive for the state’s police force. He confirmed that 30,000 new positions will be filled in the UP Police soon.
Since 2017, approximately 1.56 lakh recruitments have been completed in the Uttar Pradesh Police. Speaking on the ongoing hiring process, CM Yogi stated, “Currently, recruitment for 60,000 constable positions is underway. Once selected, they will undergo training within the next month before officially joining the UP Police. In addition to this, a fresh recruitment drive for 30,000 more posts will begin soon.”
UP Police Bharti 2025 Notification
The upcoming UP Police recruitment 2025 is expected to include vacancies for both Constable and Sub-Inspector (SI) positions. The official notification will be released on the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) website – uppbpb.gov.in. Once the notification is out, candidates can apply within the specified dates.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates who have passed the 12th grade from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the Constable post.
For the Sub-Inspector (SI) post, candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline.
Physical Standards
In addition to educational qualifications, candidates must meet certain physical standards:
For Male Candidates
General/OBC/SC: Minimum height: 168 cm
Chest: 79 cm (normal) and 84 cm (expanded)
ST Category: Minimum height: 160 cm
Chest: 77 cm (normal) and 82 cm (expanded)
For Female Candidates
General/OBC/SC: Minimum height: 152 cm
ST Category: Minimum height: 147 cm
