Due to heavy rain, several airlines had also released advisories. According to Air India, “The heavy rain may affect flight operations to and from Delhi” on Tuesday.

It advised travelers to check their flight status on the airline’s website before going to the airport and “allow yourself extra travel time because of the slow-moving traffic.”

On Tuesday evening, visuals from the central Delhi area including ITO and Vikas Marg showed slow-moving traffic.

Netizens also took to X to express irritation with traffic congestion. One user complained, “Delhi- this is how to get to the airport. CP to Dhaula Kuan – 1 hour 45 minutes — same same story — inundated roads, awful traffic! Nothing ever changes.”

“Stuck in traffic on Arya Samaj Road (Karol Bagh) for the past 3:30 hours,” wrote another. An X user said, “Heavy traffic jam in Noida to Delhi route, Dharamshila Hospital since last 30 minutes. Not a single vehicle is moving. No traffic police available.”

“Massive traffic jam on Dhaula Kuan- Gurgaon Road, Delhi Cantt, Palam, Dwarka. Terrible,” quipped another.
