Delhi Traffic Police on Monday night issued an advisory in light of the ongoing water pipeline laying work at the R/A Clock Tower by the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). To ensure smooth traffic flow and ease congestion, traffic arrangements will be in place on various routes. Commuters are advised to follow the advisory to avoid any inconvenience. Alternate routes have been suggested to motorists for smooth travel and effective traffic management.
Traffic Diversion And Restrictions
Diversion Point: Shakti Nagar Chowk
According to the traffic advisory, vehicles under different categories, such as Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Medium Goods Vehicles (MGV), Light Goods Vehicles (LGV), and buses arriving from Shakti Nagar and going towards Roshanara Road and Lala Jaganath Marg via Clock Tower will be diverted.
Alternate Route: The following vehicles will be diverted from Roop Nagar, Maurice Nagar, up to Khalsa College and then onto Mall Road, continuing heading towards Kashmiri gate ISBT.
Guidelines For Commuters
• Plan for additional time for your journey if you are traveling from Shakti Nagar Chowk to Barfkhana Chowk via Clock Tower.
• Avoid roadside parking and only park in designated parking lots.
• Report any suspicious objects/individuals to the Police.
During the ongoing construction period, commuters are urged to cooperate to ensure smooth traffic management. Meanwhile, Delhi Police have advised motorists to remain patient, adhere to traffic rules, and cooperate with traffic personnel.
