Uttar Pradesh Noida Authority: Noida to Be Recreated in Another Country? It may sound unusual, but that’s exactly what a high-level Mongolian delegation envisions after visiting the city. A group of officials from Mongolia visited Noida to learn how the city plans and develops. They focused on modern infrastructure, eco-friendly city planning, and overall urban development.
Their goal was to get ideas and inspiration for creating a new, well-planned city back in Mongolia. The group included important Mongolian officials — Batsukh Saranchimeg, who is a former Member of Parliament and Governor of a special economic zone called “Khushigtiin Khundii,” and Batabayar Bolor, a top official at the Mongolian Embassy. Lokesh M, the CEO of the Noida Authority, and Sanjay Kumar Khatri, the Additional CEO, warmly welcomed them at the main office building in Sector-06.
What Mangolian Team Dream
Other cities in Mongolia will also be developed along the lines of Noida. On Saturday, a delegation from Mongolia — a country in East Asia — arrived in Noida to explore its development model. During the visit, Noida Authority CEO Dr. Lokesh M briefed the delegates about the city’s growth and planning strategies. As part of the city tour, authority officials shared detailed insights—both big and small—about Noida’s journey to becoming a global hub. The delegation visited three IT and technology-based companies to learn about their operations and the technology they use.
Development Model Shared With The Delegation
The delegation met with the Greater Noida Authority at the Noida Authority’s Sector-6 office. During the meeting, the Noida authorities provided the Mongolian officials with detailed information about Noida’s infrastructure and urban amenities, focusing on sustainable development, smart city technologies, and public facilities.
Authority Ready To Help Mongolia
The Mongolian delegation held focused discussions on how Noida’s development model could serve as inspiration for building a new city in Mongolia. In response, the CEO explained Noida’s evolution over the years and assured the delegation that Mongolia could certainly develop a city like Noida. He also expressed the Noida Authority’s willingness to support the initiative. For context, Mongolia is a landlocked country in East and Central Asia, bordered by Russia to the north and China to the south, east, and west.
Visited Various IT Campuses
The delegation also visited several IT campuses in Noida, gaining firsthand insight into the city’s urban planning, development, and evolution as an IT hub. They toured the Microsoft Campus in Sector 16, NSL Techzone in Sector 144, and MAQ Software Campus in Sector 145. This visit marks an important step towards fostering international cooperation in urban development and planning.
