Delhi Traffic Police have issued traffic advisory in connection with the Republic Day Celebration at Chhatrasal Stadium on 25th January. Special traffic arrangements will be effective on various routes. Commuters have been advised to follow the advisory to to avoid any inconvenience.
“In view of the above, this is to inform that Republic Day celebration is to be held on 25th January, 2025 at Chhatrasal stadium, Model Town, Delhi. In this event around 250 Buses and around 1000 light vehicles are expected to come, which may cause some congestion around the Chhatrasal stadium. Therefore, commuters are advised to avoid the following roads and take alternate route on 22nd January (Full dress rehearsal) and 25th January, 2025 from 6 AM to 1 PM,” the official notification read.
Alternate routes have been marked for smooth travel and effective traffic management.
Alternate Routes:
Inner Ring Road – from IP College to Azadpur Chowk.
GTK Road – from Shakti Nagar to Azadpur Chowk.
Chhatrasal Stadium Road, Gujrawala Town.
Burari Chowk to Vijay Nagar T-Point via Camp Chowk.

Noida Police Issues Traffic Advisory
Meanwhile, the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate has implemented extensive traffic arrangements in preparation for Republic Day. To ensure smooth traffic arrangements, the entry of goods vehicles (heavy, medium, and light) from Gautam Budh Nagar into Delhi will be restricted.
In the official release, traffic police said, “It is hereby informed to the general public that on the occasion of the Republic Day full dress rehearsal and the Republic Day parade in Delhi, from 10:00 PM on 22.01.2025 until the conclusion of the event on 23.01.2025, and from 10:00 PM on 25.01.2025 until the conclusion of the event on 26.01.2025, the entry of cargo vehicles (heavy, medium, and light) coming from Gautam Buddh Nagar district to Delhi will be restricted for security reasons. These vehicles will be allowed to use the following alternate routes to reach their destinations.”
