Passenger travelling in Dubai-bound Vistara airline arrested for talking about ‘bomb’

New Delhi: A man was arrested at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after his co-passenger overheard him talking about ‘bombs’ during a telephone conversation on a Vistara flight on Wednesday.

The accused, Azeem Khan, a resident of Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, was going to Dubai on a connecting flight from Delhi to Mumbai by Vistara flight number UK-941. The woman overheard the accused talking about the ‘bomb’ on the phone and immediately informed the flight crew.

Based on the woman’s complaint, the crew members handed over the accused to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), following which the Delhi Police arrested him. According to information, the accused, Azim Khan, was let go after giving notice as nothing suspicious was found on him. If needed, he will have to join the investigation in the future.
