Noida: Residents of Sector 145, where the Noida Authority has recently allotted 2250 plots of farmer quota, are facing severe problems related to water and electricity. The sector’s Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) have raised concerns about the issue and alleged that the development work was halted there. According to News24 reporter Junaid Akhtar, the RWA has once again complained to the authority on Wednesday, seeking their attention to the ongoing problem.
‘No Action Taken’ – RWA Vice-President
Subhash Bhati, Vice-President of RWA informed that even after several years since the sector’s settlement, the problem still persist here. The development work has been completely stalled, and no arrangements were made for essential services like water and electricity. The plots are under-occupied and the residents are upset over the Authority’s breach of promise. No action has been taken even after complaining several times, he added.
RWA Meet OSD Kranti Shekhar
The RWA further alleged that farming is being done in a few parts of the sector since the past four years. Earlier, wind animals were found freely roaming in the area, making it difficult for people to move out in the dark. On Wednesday, RWA approached the Noida Authority and met OSD Kranti Shekhar.
RWA Submits Memorandum
The OSD was made aware of the ongoing problems faced in the sector. Meanwhile, they urged him to start the development work at the earliest. According to OSD Kranti Shekhar, Sector-145 RWA has submitted a memorandum for the same. He has assured that the development work will be started in the sector once the crop harvesting begins.
