Noida: Woman Livestreams Suicide On Facebook, Accuses In-Laws And Husband Of Harassment – How Police Saved Her Life?

The live suicide video on Facebook was filmed by the woman in which she accused her in-laws of severe harassment. She said, "My in-laws have troubled me a lot and I don't want to live. My mother-in-law never allowed me to live a good life."

Noida: A shocking case has emerged from the Lotus Panache Society, located in Thana Phase 2, where a woman attempted suicide by consuming pills on Saturday. She even live-streamed the suicide video on Facebook, which shows her locking herself inside a room and accusing her in-laws of harassment before taking the extreme step. However, shortly after the incident, the police reached the spot, forced the door open, and took the woman to a private hospital. She is out of danger and is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital. Meanwhile, the police said that she would be later counseled.

Woman Accuses In-Laws Of Harrasment

The live suicide video on Facebook was filmed by the woman in which she accused her in-laws of severe harassment. She said, “My in-laws have troubled me a lot and I don’t want to live. My mother-in-law never allowed me to live a good life. Everyone must be wondering why I am ready now. I am doing all this because I have lost. A lot of accusations will be made against me. It is because my house has a law firm owned by Abhijit Ranjan. Ranjan has threatened me that he is sending the police. Now he will show me my status. He has contacts with big political leaders.”

‘These People Should Be Punished’

Before committing suicide, the woman further added, “Everyone is harassing me a lot. Mother-in-law Sadhna Verma, brother-in-law Abhijit Ranjan, and husband Dr. Abhishek Ranjan. I am going to commit suicide. I am going to take sleeping pills. I don’t want to live. I am tired of suffering for many years. These people should get punished for my death. I have nothing to lose, neither do I have a child nor a house, nor do I have a father nor a brother. I have kept my father in an old age home.”

Police Saves Her Life

Immediately after watching this video, the woman’s acquaintances informed the police about it who took prompt action. According to DCP Noida Central Shakti Mohan Avasthy, Thana Phase-2 police received the information that a woman in Lotus Panache Society has locked herself inside a room and is trying to commit suicide. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the spot and broke the door open with the help of RWA officials.

The woman had consumed a lot of pills and uploaded a live video of her suicide on Facebook, he added. The police team safely took her out of the room and admitted her to a private hospital. She originally hails from Gonda district and her family has been informed, the DCP said.
