A shocking incident has come to light from Noida, where a woman jumped off fourth floor of GIP mall and died in Sector 18, Noida. The incident took place on Wednesday night. The victim struggled with depression related to her divorce proceedings, informed the police.
The deceased identified as Akanksha Sood had left her phone at home before going to the mall, said the police. She was critically injured due to the fall and was taken to hospital for treatment, where she succumbed to injuries. Reportedly, Sood had been in a prolonged dispute with her husband since their marriage in 2017.

Speaking to ANI, DCP Noida Ram Badan Singh said, “A woman committed suicide by jumping from the stairs of the fire exit near Gate No. 3 of GIP Mall after 9:30 pm last night.” The Aadhaar card and PAN card were recovered from the woman which revealed that she was a resident of Karawal Nagar.
Police informed her family and Akanksha’s brother and sister-in-law came there who informed that she was married in 2017 and stayed at her in-laws’ house for only 15 days. They informed that her divorce case is going on. Police said that Akanksha was always under stress, and committed suicide due to it.

“A woman committed suicide by jumping from the stairs of the fire exit near Gate No. 3 of GIP Mall after 9:30 pm last night. The Aadhar card and PAN card found with the woman revealed that she was a resident of Karawal Nagar. Her brother and sister-in-law told that she was married in 2017 and her divorce case is going on. She was always under stress and due to that stress, she committed suicide,” said DCP Ram Badan Singh.
